Where (to start)
“I know why I’m here and what’s going on.” If this is you, go here for a list of Sky Dives or here for a list of Python for Scientists posts.
Otherwise, continue below for information about this blog.
Who
This website is for anybody who is interested in a deeper understanding of the atmospheric sciences, improvement/advancement of Python coding, interested in time management, and discussion of old and new atmospheric sciences advancements.
Why
Concepts can be difficult to understand as presented by textbooks and journal articles. My goal is to use this website to break down these concepts into chunks that are easier to digest.
What
Weather concept breakdown will be done through “Sky Dives” which are split up in multiple posts. They are called Sky Dives because we first get a 30,000′ view, and then hone in on key concepts.
Python is discussed in a series called “Python for Scientists”. Visit this post for an introduction and outline of posts.
Other Topics
While the main focus will be explaining the basics of the atmospheric sciences in a process-oriented approach and Python programming, other topics will also be discussed. Topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Version Control
- Useful Tools
- Productivity
- Time Management
- New Research
